The iMySQLadmin Manual
We don't have a full manual ready yet. We will do soon, but in the meantime please contact us with any questions you may have.
Registering and logging in
When you visit www.imysqladmin.com using an iPhone you will be greeted with the login screen. If you haven't yet registered then use the register option to create an iMySQLadmin account.
You are asked to create an account so that you are able to store all your MySQL connections together in one easily accessible place. Much easier than creating an account for every server connection.
Once registered, simply enter your email address and password to log in.
If you've forgotten your password, select the password reminder option and you'll be emailed your password.
Your iMySQLadmin home page
Once you have logged in you will see your iMySQLadmin home page. If you have already created MySQL server connections then you will see them listed. Select a connection to connect to it and access your MySQL server.
If you are yet to create a connection, or need to edit a connection, select 'Edit Connections' and you will see a list of your connections for editing, and you will also see a 'New Connection' option. Select a connection to edit it, or select to make a new connection.
Adding / editing connections
When adding or editing a MySQL server connection you will be asked to enter the following details of the MySQL server you are planning to connect to:
- Name - this is a user friendly name to make the connection easier to remember
- Host address/IP - the address of your server. Don't enter the port number, eg: www.mysqlserver.com rather than www.mysqlserver.com:3306
- Port - enter the port number here
- Username - the username of the user you will be using to access your MySQL server
- Password - the password for your MySQL user
Make sure you have entered the correct details for host, port, username and password; and make sure your MySQL user has permission to access your server from our IP address, which is: 87.117.239.136
You will need to enter your password so that the connection can be tested, however you can choose not to save passwords if you wish for added security.
